This early 1970's bracelet was hand wrought by Orville Tsinnie, from Shiprock, New Mexico. Orville did a series of XL pieces, which referred to his use of very heavy gage silver.

Orville was a master silversmith and had won many awards for his outstanding silver and stone designs. Over the past 30 years Orville had purchased and traded turquoise with our family that was featured in many of his award winning pieces. This bracelet is just one of those early pieces by Orville that has 2 beautiful, natural Pilot Mountain turquoise stones. He is known for using heavier-gauge silver and top grade materials in his designs. Each and every part of this beautiful bracelet Orville hand crafted.

The bracelet measures 2 7/8" wide tapering down to 11/16" at the bottom terminals. It measures 6" inside with a 1 1/8" gap. Hallmarked with XL, Orville Tsinnie, Shiprock NM, the Shiprock and sterling. Weight is 152 grams.
