Beautiful Ithiaca Peak turquoise set in an raised bezel by Navajo artist, Darryl Dean Begay. This outstanding tufa cast bracelet features a split shank design. The bracelet measures 2" wide tapering to 1 3/8" at the bottom terminals. The Gem grade Ithiaca Peak turquoise stone measures 1 3/8" by 1/4". The inside measurement is 5 3/8" with a 1 1/8" opening. Just outstanding workmanship!
Born on the Navajo Reservation, Darryl Dean Begay was raised in the traditional Navajo way of life. He is from a family of artists; his grandmother was a weaver and his grandfather a ceremonial sandpainter. It is from this background that his art emerges, creating one-of-a-kind, limited edition jewelry pieces in sterling silver and gold.
He
has exhibited his work and won awards at many shows, including the
Santa Fe Indian Market, the Heard Museum Market, Pueblo Grande Indian
Market, the Wheelwright Museum, and the Eight Northern Pueblos Show. Darryl has become one of the most recognized Navajo artists of his time!
