Description

Beautifully crafted, hand-wrought sterling silver bracelet, crafted by Navajo artist Austin Wilson. Amazing detailed in the filed edges with large silver raindrops adding the final touch to this bracelet. A beautiful even patina graces the entire bracelet. Not hallmarked, but strong attribution to Austin Wilson. A similar bracelet is named in the Doneghy collection. It measures 1 3/16" wide. 124 grams weight. Inside is 5 7/8" with a 1 3/8" opening. Slightly adjustable.

Austin Wilson was active between 1929 and 1976 and was known to have worked at Zuni for trader C. G. Wallace and Trader Charles Kelsey. Wilson's work was precise with superior craftsmanship in his work. He was a master jeweler from this early era. Wilson was especially known for ashtrays, bar-ware and other decorative utensils, as well as beautiful jewelry pieces.
