Description

C: (1937-1976) Zuni artist Dixon Shebola was active from the early to mid 1950's until his death. This beautifully made Aztec Dancer bolo was crafted by renowned Zuni artist Dixon Shebola. Set with turquoise, jet, Mother of Pearl, carved coral and carved yellow lip shell. This figure offers the best of Dizon's work, with his distinct raised mosaic and channel inlay design, with the addition of raised silver ornaments. The detail throughout this bolo is a wonderful example of one of Zuni's most talented artist. Not hallmarked, which was common.
