This fabulous bracelet is the work of well-know Hopi artist Morris Robinson. Morris Robinson (Talawytewa) was born at Oraibi. He began his career in Phoenix AZ in the early 1920's and continued his silversmithing, until retiring in 1963. He working at several different Indian Jewelry stores in Arizona, where his pieces became highly desired by collectors. He used his personally crafted stamps, creating intricate and amazing designs.
This traditional style cuff offers the best of Morris Robinson's amazing abilities as an artist and also a vintage piece of history. The cuff is set with 3 really beautiful Natural Red Mountain turquoise stones, with heavy twist wire and silver raindrops on a tri wire design. Nice and heavy!
The center of the cuff measures 1 1/8" wide, tapering to 3/8" at bottom terminals. The inside measures 5 1/2" with a 1 1/8" opening. Slightly adjustable. The cuff is hallmarked with Morris's snake and H. Excellent condition.
