This beautiful bolo tie is the work of renowned Navajo jewelry artist and silversmith Thomas Curtis. He is known for his use of heavy-gauge silver, precise chisel and stamp work. This beautiful Bolo offers it all. The center is repoussé work. He also delivered his amazing work on the entire pieces, as the bolo tips are just outstanding. It measures 2 5/8” by 1 7/8”, with 2 ˝” tips on a soft black, braided hook leather. Hallmarked T. Curtis.

Thomas was considered among the top Navajo silversmiths, a master silversmith who professionally pursued his art for over 50 years. Thomas received many accolades, among them Best in Class at the 1987 Santa Fe Indian Market and he was featured in the May 2003 issue of Arizona Highways. Thomas Curtis's professional career began in the early 1950's. He passed away on July 10, 2013.
