This beautifully crafted Squash Blossom
necklace is hand crafted Navajo work. Circa: late 1930/40's. It is a statement
necklace with heavy 15mm beads and a gorgeous naja. Very fine work!! Heavier
gauge silver was used on the handcrafted beads and time was taken to smooth them out to a
beautiful finish. The Naja has hand drawn, heavy wire, a stamped center wire
and a free hanging squash blossom, adding the final touches to this lovely necklace.
This necklace dated to the late 1930's into the early 40's
and does not have a maker's mark--being of a time when such things were not
commonly done. The overall condition is excellent.
The Naja measures 2 3/4" long by 2 3/4" wide. The
necklace measures 27" long. Weight is 314 grams.
