Description

This amazing Natural Kingman turquoise pendant was handcrafted by well-know Hopi artist Lewis Lomay. c:(1913-1996). He began his career in jewelry in 1930's and worked for a period of time with Frank Patania Sr. in Santa Fe NM. His designs were both traditional Hopi with a touch of European influence at times. His work is highly collectable, as well it should be. This piece has his early hallmark.

This beautiful pendant is set with a gem quality (almost translucent) Natural Kingman turquoise stone. A lovely silver fan design holds this beautiful stone, with a fine detailed silver frame. Nicely handcrafted Navajo silver beads adds the final touch to this piece. This pendant can be worn by anyone wanting a statement piece by a master!

The concho's measure 3 3/4"long by 2" wide. Early Hallmark with his L inside a sun.
