Description

This unique bolo tie is set with a Natural Blue Gem carved turquoise cabochon. This bolo tie offers the best of Simplicio's stunning silver leafs and his more rare carved turquoise leafs. It also features his circular stamps on the inner edge of the bolo. Beautifully crafted fluted tips add the final touch to this bolo.

It
measures 2" tall by 1 5/8" wide tapering to 1 3/16". The tips measure 2 1/4" long. The length of the leather straps are 118 1/2" long. No signatures or makers mark but definitely the work of Dan Simplicio.

Simplicio was the first to use branch coral in its natural form and the first to set rough-cut coral nuggets on rings. He was presumably the first Zuni artist to utilize gold in jewelry as early as 1931. He introduced extensive use of silver leaf work in Zuni jewelry.
