This fabulous bracelet is the work of Navajo artist Carl Allen Begay. (d.2015). He began his career in 1970 and worked at the Navajo Hogan shop, owned by Carl Luthey and his wife Ester. He used his personal crafted stamp, C with a stamped crescent on this piece, which indicates it was done before or after he worked for Carl Luthey.
This traditional style cuff offers not only an amazing fine webbed natural Indian Mountain turquoise stone, but the silver work is also very nice. A smooth even patina graces the silver. Perfect medium/heavy weight!
The center of the cuff including silver measures 2 1/2" top to bottom, tapering to 5/8" at bottom terminals. The stone measures just under 2" by 1 7/16" wide. The inside measures 5 1/4" with a 1" opening. Slightly adjustable.
