Description

Non-native. This wonderful bolo features a beautiful Dinosaur Fossilized bone, with multi colors. It was hand fabricated by Larry Sanchez, from Cortez Colorado. Larry worked at San Juan Gems in Cortez, where they are known for their amazing collection of Dinosaur bone.

Outstanding silver work with a hand-crafted leaf creates a perfect display for this amazing dino bone. The heavy silver tips were hand fabricated and show the Theropod tracks of a Dinosaur. A soft aged patina graces the back and front of the piece. A unique and special bolo! The bolo is hallmarked L with a small rectangle.

It measures 2 3/8" tall by 2 3/4" wide, with heavy silver Theropod 2 1/8" long tips. The total length is 44", including tips.

This bolo is one of many collected over years by a Physician/professor that wore his bolos every day to his classroom and lectures. Many have small stickers showing the date he wore them and in what class he was teaching. It's an honor to share some of his special bolos with others.
