These
lovely early vintage earrings are Zuni work. Set with tiny hand cut petit point and snake eye turquoise stones. The stones have wonderful color change of blues and greens from age. The workmanship is just perfect on these earrings. Earrings are a special addition to any collection, as they enhance how we look and make us feel beautiful. The early earrings have become an important part of any collection.
The earrings measure 1 1/8" tall by 1/2" wide and have sterling screw backs, which can be changed to posts upon request.
Zuni jewelry both inlay and cluster work, are obviously some
of the most difficult to create. Along with this work being very time
consuming, the artist must master not only silversmithing, buy lapidary (stone
cutting). Our respect for the many Zuni artist goes without question, as they
are truly masters at their craft.
