Description

Simplicio was the first to use branch coral in its natural form and the first to set rough-cut coral nuggets on rings. This lovely ring is set with a Natural Morenci turquoise cabochon and two deep ox blood coral freeform cabochons that are gem quality. This piece offers the best of Simplicio's style of work, with his beautiful stamped leaf's, quality of materials and precise scalloped bezels. The ring measure 1 5/8" long by 9/16" wide on a heavy tapered silver shank. The size is a 7. No signatures or maker marks but definitely the work of Dan Simplicio. Circa: 1960's.

His work is cited in every major publication chronicling 20th century Zuni jewelers.
