Acoma potter Dolores S. Sanchez (c. 1902 - 1991) was known as one of the finest Acoma potters of
her generation.
This lovely Olla bowl measures 11" diameter by an 7 1/4" inner rim by 8" tall. The circa has been dated as mid 1930's. It is in excellent condition with a few very small nicks. Fine lined with geometric designs and butterfly inverted triangle motif. Corinne Cain, ASA, a noted appraiser on the work of Acoma potters, has visually inspected this bowl and identified it and dated it. A letter of attribution by Corinne Cain can be obtained upon request from the buyer.
