This beautifully made butterfly bolo was crafted by renowned Zuni artist Leo Poblano. The
original owner was Author, James Jones who along with other
publications, wrote the well known book, From Here To Eternity. A copy
of "INTO ETERNITY" The Life Of James Jones American Writer, Author Frank
MacShane, will be included with purchase, along with a letter of provenance.
Set with Blue Gem turquoise, jet, Mother of Pearl and abalone shell. This butterfly offers the best of Poblano's work, with his distinct mosaic design, small set circles and precise silver work. The bolo measures 3 1/4" long by 2" wide. Leo did not use a hallmark, but this lovely butterfly is definitely the work of Leo Poblano. See Artist Biographies on Home Page.
