This beautifully crafted bolo tie is Zuni work by well-known artist Edward Beyuka. Set with materials of coral, carved turquoise, carved clam shell, carved Mother of Pearl, pin shell and jet. This lovely piece comes with a solid silver stand for display. The outstanding, precise inlay is just perfect on this figure. The earrings are free moving. Beautiful silver drums hang from the bolo tips.
It measures 2 1/4" wide by 4 3/8" tall with 1 1/2" long silver drum tips. The braided black leather, including tips is 42" long. Etched hallmark Ed Beyuka Zuni NM.
This bolo is one of many collected by a teacher that wore his bolos every day to his classroom. Many I will be showing have the year he wore them and in what class he was teaching. It's an honor to share some of his special bolos with others.
