Description

Victor Coochwytewa was one of three Native American elders chosen as Arizona Indian Living Treasures at the seventh annual AILTA award ceremony held in Phoenix in September 1994. This recognition is but one of the many accolades bestowed upon the Master Hopi Jeweler in a career spanning more than half a century. Decorated World War II Veteran (1922-2011). Victor retired from Hopi Silversmithing and his beloved farming in 2006. He continued living with his family at Hopi. Victor passed away at the age of 89 on July 3, 2011. An accomplished master Hopi jeweler and a humble man. Victor's work is not only amazing but highly collectable.

This lovely necklace has 6 handmade silver beads and chain that hold a wonderfully designed pendant. There is a beautiful soft patina on the entire piece.
Hallmarked with Victor's (Rain Cloud), that with wear it is a bit hard to see the full mark without an eye loop.

The pendant measures 2" long by 1 5/16" wide. The total length, including pendant is 11 3/4" long.
