Description

This lovely and unusual bracelet of silver and an inlaid Hopi design of chips of turquoise were handcrafted by well-know Hopi artist Lewis Lomay. c:(1913-1996). He began his career in jewelry in the 1930's and learned silversmithing at Santa Fe Indian School under renowned artist Ambrose Roanhorse. Lewis then went to work for jeweler Frank Patania in Santa Fe NM for 13 years. His designs were both traditional Hopi with a touch of European influence combining his time as an apprentice under both Ambrose and Frank. Perfectly displayed in the bracelet. His work is highly collectable. Perfect for everyday wear!

The bracelet measures 1 5/8" wide, with the interior measuring 5 3/8" with a 1 1/8" opening. A beautiful soft matt finish adds the final touch to this pretty bracelet. Hallmark with his L inside a sun.
