This lovely
"5 strand gorget" represents the early designed medieval throat
plates that were given to Indian Chiefs and warriors as a symbol of status.
This design has been carried on by artists such as Allen Key who worked at the
White Hogan Trading Post. Totally
handmade, each curved strand was hand filed to produce the graceful crescent
shape of the piece. Beautiful precise hand stamp work adds the final touch to
this lovely necklace, as does the exquisite silver chain. Not hallmarked.
Split strands measure 4 1/4" across and
3" in height with the center width of the strands being 1 3/8". Chain
is 6" on either side of the clasp.
