Description

Zuni artist Andrew Dewa was active from1960's until his death in 2001. He was best known for his figural mosaic inlay and his sun-face motif. This beautifully made Zuni Antelope bolo is set with turquoise, jet, Mother of Pearl, coral, yellow lip shell and carved abalone shell. Parts of the figure are his distinct raised mosaic design. The detail throughout this bolo is a wonderful example of one of Zuni's most talented artists. This one is hallmarked with an etched Dewa, which puts it as one of his earlier pieces, before he had his stamp. No question this is his work.

The bolo measures 3 1/2" tall by 2 1/8" wide with 2 1/2" tips. The black braided leather with tips total length is 38" long.
