Non-native. This lovely Alberto Contreras pendant features 7 beautiful stones of Blue Gem and Morenci turquoise. A stunning silver repousse and chase design surrounds the center cluster of blues and greens. Substantial weight. The silver beads and beautiful smooth patina add the final touches to the piece. A beautiful turquoise necklace that looks gorgeous on!

Alberto Contreras C: 1949-1994 was taught silversmithing, by Frank Patania Sr., prior to 1949. That influence carried on in his designs throughout Alberto’s career. In 1949 Alberto started his silversmithing shop in Tucson. His family continues making beautiful jewelry at their business, Contreras House Fine Arts in Tucson AZ.


The bead are 22 1/2" long. The pendant measures 3 7/8" long by 3 1/16" wide. Hallmarked Sterling, AC. A thin coat of laquer has been added to the back of the pendant by previous owner to keep it from transfering tarnish to clothing. It can be removed.
