Masterfully crafted this beautiful bolo was hand crafted by well-known Zuni artist John Gordon (Leak) Leekity. His work was prominently featured in the 1975 Sotheby's auction of the C.G. Wallace collection. John Gordon Leak was well-known for his mosaic inlaid knifewing, arrows and dragonfly images. This wonderful dragonfly is set in a black jet background with coral, turquoise and mother of pearl as the Dragonfly. The lovely silver drops, and fine twist wire are often seen on his pieces. The tips are also hand crafted. Absolutely beautiful on!
