Joe Herrera Quintana (1915-1991) is considered by many to be one of the true master silversmiths of the 20^th century. Learning metal work during WWII, after the war he returned to his home in the Cochiti Pueblo and began his career in jewelry making. He apprenticed with well-known jeweler Frank Patania and worked in a number of shops in both Santa Fe and Albuquerque NM.

This beautiful stamped design features a single high grade, turquoise stone. The beautiful handcrafted beads add the final touch to this lovely necklace. The perfect size for either a man or woman. A satin polish graces the entire piece, including the beads. The pendant measures 1 7/8" long x 3/4" wide. The handcrafted beads are 24" long. Hallmarked with J H Q with his early thin H.
