Description

This vintage 1930's Zuni Rainbow man squash blossom is inlaid with natural Blue Gem turquoise, jet, mother of pearl and red Abalone shell. The age and style of figures lends this piece to Master Zuni artist, Lambert Homer Sr. It features 10 rainbow men with 4 prong squash blossoms and a beautifully designed naja. The necklace is assembled on a double row of early round silver beads.

Lambert is one of the first jewelers to work for Trader C.G. Wallace,
starting in the late 1920's.
Similar work is found in the C.G. Wallace 1975 auction catalog on page 84, illustration #472.
The beautiful necklace set measures, 25" long, with an additional 1 1 2/" x 2 3/4" naja. The smaller rainbow men blossoms measure 1 3/8" by 7/8". This necklace is more than jewelry, but a visual reminder of the incredible talent of the early masters! Please visit our artist biography page.
