Description

John Adair (1944) stated in his book titled, The Navajo and Pueblo Silversmiths, that Horace Iule (Aiuli) (c.1899 -1978) active (c. 1924-1978) had achieved a level of success that enabled him to rely upon his craft for his sole livelihood. He also identified Iule as "one of the two or three best artisans in the Zuni Pueblo."

Horace was best known for his mastery of silver casting and this wonderful ring shows his talent. Fine stamping on the two raindrops, soft rounded edges of his silver make this a perfect example of his work. 2 very aged deep green turquoise nugget stones are set in hand-crafted bezels. The ring has quite a bit of wear, with added silver to the bottom shank. Fit for many more years of wear.

It measures 1 1/8" tall by 1/2" wide. Size is a 10 1/2. Hallmarked H Iule
