This
beautiful 1950's concho belt offers very nice hand crafting of silver.
Hand hammered, each concho has beautiful repousse and detailed stamp
work. The design is set with beautiful Natural turquoise cabs, that are
set in hand cut bezels. The back of each concho has a single copper bar
weaved through a wide, soft leather belt.
Each of
the 6 concho's measure 2 3/4" long by 2 3/8" wide, with the butterfly's
measuring 2 1/4" by 1 1/4". The amazing buckle measuring 3 1/4" by 2
1/4". The belt has been cleaned at some point and is mostly shiny. The entire belt
measures 31" long, but could easily stand a much longer leather, as the concho's are placed quite close together. There is also one extra butterfly. The belt has similarities of the work that was done by the Hosteen Goodluck family and could possibly be the work of a family member. There is a traders code etched on the back of the buckle.
