An early
1965 inlaid Humming bird pin by well-known Zuni artist Dennis Edaakie.
Often working with his wife Nancy, their exquisite workmanship is
considered among the best stone-to-stone inlay of all time. Dennis and
Nancy are most well-known for their beautiful bird images, which they
began producing in the early 60's. This being one of the earlier pieces
by Dennis, the detail and over all look is some what different than his
more recent work. Hallmarked Dennis E.
This lovely pin
features a beautiful humming bird, with the central image inlaid with
red coral, black jet, mother-of-pearl and green abalone shell. Accents of
pink shell flowers and rainbow abalone shell leaves,
framed with a pin shell design. All stones are precisely set in a
silver background. Please take note of the fine details of the pin.
The pin measures 2 1/4" diameter. We offer a pin/pendant, silver conversion piece for all of our pins.
