A fabulous turquoise and coral concho belt by famed Zuni silversmith and lapidarian Dan Simplicio. Dan Simplicio was widely respected as one of the most important, early Zuni silversmiths. He was a master jeweler and stone cutter, active from 1917 to 1969.

This beautiful Dan classic 1940's concho belt offers the very best of his work. Hand hammered open design, each concho has beautiful detailed stamp work and features Dan's stamped sun-ray drops and silver fans. The design is set with beautiful Natural turquoise cabs and top quality branch coral, that are set in hand cut scalloped bezels. The back of each concho has double silver bars, weaved with a soft leather belt measuring 2" wide. Each of the 6 concho's measure 3 3/4" long by 3 1/2" wide. The amazing buckle measuring 4 1/4" by 4". The belt has a lovely patina from age, having been stored carefully in a private collection for many years.
