This beautiful Zuni necklace was hand crafted and signed by Zuni silversmith Adeline Yawakia (ABY), from the Zuni Pueblo in New Mexico. Flat channel inlay designs were often composed of small shaped stones, ground flush after being set in their silver bezels. The Naja has 21 tightly set stones and 12 squash blossoms alternated with hand-crafted sterling silver beads. The outer edges of the naja are enhanced with small silver drops as are the design in the squash blossoms. The naja measures 3 1/4" wide by 3 1/2" long, with the overall necklace measures 31" long. The matching ring is size 7. The circa is early 1960's. Adeline B. Yawakia's works is featured in the book "ZUNI THE ART AND THE PEOPLE" volume 2.
